CASE
STUDY 1

A female patient had had years of great toe pain resulting in a painful bunion and difficulty wearing shoes.   We discussed operative and non operative treatments.  She decided on a Minimally Invasive Bunion Correction (MIS Bunion).  Using MIS, small poke holes were used to correct her bunion.  After 3 months she was back wearing normal shoes and exercising again.

CASE
STUDY 2

A 30-year old male patient felt a pop in the back of his calf while playing pickleball.  This resulted in pain and swelling in the back of his leg; he was diagnosed with an Achilles Tendon rupture.  He underwent a Minimally Invasive Achilles Repair through a small incision.  After 6 months he was back playing pickleball with no discomfort.

CASE
STUDY 3

A female patient had a second toe that was crossing over her great toe.  It began to rub against her shoes and create blisters.  She underwent a second hammertoe correction surgery through a minimally invasive procedure.  She did well and 3 months after surgery, she was able to return to all her activities.

CASE
STUDY 4

A male patient with multiple years of heel pain was diagnosed with Insertional Achilles Tendonitis.  After attempting non surgical management, he underwent a minimally invasive Zadek Calcaneal Ostoetomy.  One month after surgery he began walking in his boot and at three months post-surgery he was back to light exercises without pain.   The surgical scars healed well and are no longer visible.

Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgery

”The recovery was great. I had a bunion done on my other foot years ago and that surgery was so painful it scared me from getting my other foot done. After talking with Dr. Sims I felt comfortable with the minimally invasive bunion surgery. I am 3 months out from surgery and I couldn’t be happier. I am thankful for this technique.”
